LOW INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDIT (LIHTC)The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program provides Investors a reduction in their federal tax liability in exchange for charging below market rental rates to Low Income qualified households. The rents do not decrease based on Income decreases like HUD and RD Subsidized rents do. The rent remains the same for each Lease year, regardless of income changes in the household.
